“I’m fascinated by how art in public spaces can evoke reactions ranging from discomfort to inspiration. It’s a vivid reflection of culture and life that reminds me to stay spontaneous and appreciate the moment.”
Rewonsky is a contemporary graffiti and oil painter from Vienna, he creates artwork that bridges the gap between classical tradition and raw urban expression.
He was born in Romania in 1985, moved to Vienna with his family at age five, fleeing political unrest. His passion for art emerged early and led him to study graphic design in Linz.
Influenced by urban art, Fauvism, the Renaissance, and artists such as Keith Haring, Basquiat, and the Old Masters, he works across traditional art, graffiti, and graphic design. Known for overpainting detailed oil paintings with graffiti tags, his art juxtaposes the refinement of classical techniques with the raw spontaneity of street culture, encouraging viewers to reflect on transience, impermanence, and unpredictability.
